Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Developer to establish the automation testing function within our organization and drive development and improvements in the area of test automation. We are at the starting point of our automation testing journey and would like to find someone who will teach, lead us and learn with us what can be automated and how.

Job description

Automation Testing Leadership: Take ownership of our automation testing initiatives. Develop a strategic roadmap for automation, defining goals, best practices, and implementation plans
Design and Framework Development: Design and develop automation testing procedures and frameworks tailored to our specific software environment and develop existing ones. Create initial test designs, maintain reusable components, libraries, and scripts for efficient and consistent testing
Test Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with other colleagues and teams (developers, QA, modelling, …) to design comprehensive test strategies. Translate test plans into executable automation scripts that cover various testing scenarios, configure proper test environments
Execution and Analysis: Execute automated tests, analyze test results, and collaborate with developers to identify and address defects. Report test progress, errors, results and evaluate them
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains. Explore emerging tools and technologies to enhance our automation capabilities
Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor team members in automation best practices, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of continuous learning within the testing team

Requirements

Proven experience in automation testing within a software development environment
Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation testing frameworks
Ability to design end-to-end automated testing processes and integrate them into the software development lifecycle
Experience in gaming, simulation, robotics, or similar areas is a huge plus
